QUALIFYING TO APPLY: In order to qualify to apply for NCTC membership, a prospective applicant must meet the following qualifications:

* Provide television reception or service to the public primarily by means of a "cable system" as defined in 47 U.S.C. Section 522(7).

* Currently provide (or plan to provide in the next 90 - 180 days) multichannel video service to residential subscribers.

A prospective applicant must complete the Qualification Questionnaire for Prospective Applicant so that NCTC can determine if the prospective applicant is qualified to apply for NCTC membership. The qualification determination process requires approximately 30 days. Once NCTC has determined that the prospective applicant is qualified to apply for membership, it will provide to the applicant an NCTC Membership Application.

APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP: If NCTC determines that the prospective applicant qualifies to apply for membership, NCTC will provide a Membership Application to begin the application process. The application review process generally requires 30-90 days once NCTC has received all required fees, documentation and information. Every application is unique and the evaluation process is detailed and thorough.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS: Membership Applications must be complete before evaluation can begin. If a Membership Application is incomplete (e.g., unanswered questions, incomplete documentation), NCTC will notify the applicant, who will have 30 calendar days to provide additional information and/or documentation to complete the application. If the applicant fails to respond or complete the application, NCTC will close the applicant's file and the applicant will forfeit the application fee. The applicant may later reapply for membership by resubmitting an application and paying a new application fee.
